Field Application Scientist & Account Manager
Ariadne (www.ariadnegenomics.com) develops innovative software products for life sciences research (pathway analysis and scientific text-mining) for academia, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
We are seeking a molecular biologist/computational scientist/scientific trainer for the position of Field Application Scientist & Account Manager in Europe.
Core responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for Technical Support activities in support of Ariadne’s products and current customer accounts, including:
Product training (remote and on-site) and professional services to current Ariadne customers
Answering support phone calls and e-mails from current customer base
Development of support materials and documentation for Ariadne products
Provide customer feedback to internal R&D and product development teams
Managed select large accounts as a Key Account Manager –
including but not limited to: managing alliance meetings with customers, providing reports on goals and status of accounts and efforts needed to meet expectations, primary point of contact for all technical support interactions, interfacing with Ariadne teams (ex. R&D, product development, sales, marketing) to ensure contractual obligations for the account have been met.
In addition, the candidate will provide support for the sales organization including:
Providing support to the business development and sales team primarily (but not limited to) European accounts
Providing both online and on-site software demonstrations to prospective customers
The position requires moderate travel to client sites and occasional travel to scientific conferences/tradeshows.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter who seeks intellectual challenges and has excellent communication skills to interact with our customers in a highly professional manner while finding the right solutions for their diverse needs. Applicant must have advanced degree in the life science or computational biology. Previous teaching experience, bioinformatics software experience and industrial experience highly desirable. Applicant must be highly organized, self-motivated, proactive and able to work hard and accomplish much without a lot of direct supervision.
