Meeting the increasing demand to support and analyse a range of cancer profiling assays, the Centre for Molecular Oncology led by Professor Lemoine has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Bioinformatician/Biostatistician with strong numerical skills and a track record of the analysis of high throughput technologies.
The successful candidate will be expected to address, under minimal supervision, statistical needs related to the design and analysis of profiling experiments, and be able to mine genomic information effectively to aid the identification of potential disease biomarkers for further study. The candidate will also contribute to the development of tools for large-scale data integration and visualisation.
Applicants should have a higher degree in the biological, statistical or computer sciences, a solid understanding of high throughput technologies, a comprehensive working knowledge of common bioinformatics tools and relevant statistical algorithms, and should have demonstrated the ability to apply that knowledge to help unravel the molecular basis of a disease.
